About

About UsHello! Welcome! I’m Kallie (and that’s Peddy) and this is Winslow Home Living.

I began blogging back in 2012 as a way to document the home renovations we were doing on our home. I’d been inspired by other blogs I was reading at the time and loved the idea of being able to track our progress and share our experiences with others (having moved in almost two years prior, we had plenty of stories built up already). During the three years we’ve lived here we’ve tackled everything from caulking and wallpaper removal to broken pipes and moldy/ water-damaged walls. Most of the projects we’ve started have turned out to be much more extensive than originally planned; typically costing more money, time and energy than we seemed to have; but it’s always worth it!

Peddy and I met back in high school and started dating shortly after graduating in 2007. We spent a few years renting, during which time we added three wonderful pets to our household; our cats, Zeak and Cleo, and our dog, Lina.

In 2011 we took the plunge and purchased our home, a Ranch with two bedrooms, one bath and an unfinished basement in need of lots of TLC.

It may not be our dream home but we are doing our best to make it OUR home.

I just happened upon your site and WOW you two are busy. I better step up my game. I’m looking forward to following your projects and I’m sure you will inspire me. I am inspired by your projects right now. I was going to paint our mudroom today, but now I’m going to read all your posts. It’s great, I feel like I’m right in there with you, but no up and down the ladder for me today. It’s all about teamwork and my team left the building. Good luck and I’m looking forward to your new posts.
